THE DIRECT HAIR IMPLANTATION TECHNIQUE™

The aim of this new, advanced technique is to eliminate the fatigue factor of the surgical team and increase the survival and growth of the hair grafts by diminishing their handling and the time they stay out of the skin.
The main advantages of the new technique are as follows:
1. Each hair follicle is extracted separately and placed directly in the recipient area, thus the time that the hair follicles remain out of the body is diminished from hours (with the other techniques) to a few seconds.
2. The Petri dishes with the normal saline become obsolete, as there is no need for preservation of the hair follicles for a long time, as in older techniques.
3. The procession of grafts under the microscope is no longer needed, as the hair follicles are placed directly without procession.
4. No reception holes are needed anymore, as the placement of hair follicles is done directly with the DHI implanter.
5. The assistants no longer handle the hair follicles at any part of the procedure. In the other techniques, handling of the grafts by the assistants is necessary during certain phases of the procedure (process of grafts under the microscope, placing in the Petri dishes, counting, loading in the implanters etc). This fact diminishes the hair follicle’s fatigue factor to zero.
6. The patient is no longer necessary to stay for hours lying with his face down on the surgical bed. The DHI technique can easily be performed with the patient seated comfortable in a surgical chair with back and neck support.
7. Fewer anesthesia injections and less postoperative medication needed, as the whole procedure is completed in less time.
8. Fatigue of the patient and of the medical team is less, as less time is needed to complete the procedure.
9. The overall minimally invasive nature of the new technique is most certainly a key factor in diminishing the fatigue factor of the hair follicle and increasing the overall long term survival of the hair follicles.
THE DHI NO TOUCH TECHNIQUE™
