Hair Transplant Procedure: DHI: Implanter® vs. Forceps
As part of our continuing research and development in
hair restoration procedure, DHI International has been studying the
results of using the DHI: Implanter® versus the use of surgical forceps
for placement of the extracted hair follicles. Performing hair transplants
is a very precise procedure and we will forever strive to develop the
extraction and implantation tools necessary to ensure a painless and 100%
guaranteed hair loss treatment.
Placement of the hair follicle is
incredibly important for a successful natural looking hair restoration.
When your hair loss became evident, you probably noticed a ‘pattern’ to
which your hair was growing. The direction and angle that your hair grows
comprises this ‘pattern’. By using the DHI: Implanter®, our patented
medical tool that allows the control of the precise depth, the proper
angle from 10 degrees to 45 degrees and allows a differing direction of
each hair follicle implanted, your doctor will can reproduce your natural
hair pattern with the follicular implants. Thus ensuring the safe transfer
of hair follicles from the donor site to the implantation site with
minimal disturbance by medical tools. Using forceps does not allow such
accuracy with your hair implants.
Placement into the recipient
area is a gentle process where your doctor merely releases the follicle
into an opening the size of a pinhead. By comparison, use of the surgical
forceps puts your hair follicles in contact with stainless steel medical
instruments and the doctor must push the follicle into an opening or hole
with the forceps and this creates trauma and damages the follicles very
easily.
As the main reason behind undergoing a hair transplant is
to stop the balding process, it makes medical sense to use the safest
technique available. At DHI, our extraction and implantation technique
does not damage nor cause the loss of more hair follicles than you have
already lost!
