Aegean Masters Meeting aftermath

The 2011 Aegean Masters Meeting took place at the premises of the DHI Athens Clinic & the Cape Sounio Resort on the 28-29 of May.

The yearly scientific gathering of the DHI Medical Group attracted numerous experts in hair restoration from all over the world, including the top master surgeons, clinic managers & consultants of the various DHI Clinics.

This year’s innovative scientific program included several live workshops in both hair restoration procedures as well as diagnostic procedures & customers’ care.

The live sessions attracted the interest of the participants, especially since they were combined with three world first presentations:

1. The performance of two live sessions with the new, innovative, Direct Hair Implantation technique,

2. The first application of the Acell product to enhance hair growth & accelerate healing of both the donor and the recipient area in hair restoration,

3. The first presentation of the new DHI Alopecia Test workstation, a modern, technologically advanced diagnostic tool for hair restoration clinics.

The meeting’s agenda included several scientific & marketing presentations covering various aspects of hair restoration as well as the presentation of the updated version of the Total Care Operations Manual & the first edition of the book “Hair loss. A complete analysis of hair restoration options available today”, written by Mr K.Giotis, the DHI Group Chairman & the DHI scientific team.

The meeting was completed with great success with the gala dinner at the Cape Sounio Resort where the best presentations of the meeting were awarded the Pheidias awards of excellence in hair restoration. Dr E.Bankovska received the bronze award for her presentation “Giga session with the direct & semi direct technique”, Dr M.Tam received the silver award for his presentation “Survey of patients’ satisfaction-the DHI UK experience” and Dr G.Ligda received the gold Pheidias award on behalf of the DHI Athens Medical Team for their excellent organization & performance of the live direct hair implantation workshop.

At the same ceremony, DHI Global Medical Director, Dr A.Vekris awarded the title of “DHI Master” to three very promising doctors of the DHI Medical Group, Dr M.Petroliagki, Dr A.Pissarakis & Dr M.Tam, for their excellent performance in their annual evaluation according to the protocols of the Company.

The high level of scientific expertise & the very successful organization of the meeting sets new high standards & challenges for the DHI Team for the years to come.
